EN ISO 13485:2016

In December 2017 TÜV Rheinland has certified that JenLab has successfully established and applies a quality management system for medical devices according to requirements specified in EN ISO 13485:2016. JenLab's CEO Prof. Dr. Karsten Koenig: „This is a major step in the right direction to develop and distribute our femtosecond laser technology. Our multiphoton tomographs MPTflex and MPTflex CARS have now become even more attractive for users in hospitals and medical research labs."

JenLab at DOG 2017

JenLab expands its range and presented multiphoton technology (MPT) on German Ophthalmology Society (DOG) in Berlin. We believe that, within the next few years, MPT may be used for high-level quality checks of donated corneas for transplantation in order to increase the number of positive surgical outcomes.

FLIM 2017

For the 11th time the international workshop Advanced Multiphoton and Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Techniques FLIM 2017 presented the latest research trends of Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM), Two-Photon Microscopy and Multiphoton Tomography (MPT) in Life Sciences and provided a platform for exchange and discussion. From the 30/06/ - 01/07/2017 international researchers, laser manufacturers, distributers and students were convened at the Max-Born Saal of the Science and Technology Park Berlin-Adlershof to exchange newly acquired knowledge in theory and practical applications. The agenda contented presentations of 27 international researchers from the USA, Australia, Israel and Europe. In addition, more interesting content will be presented in Hands-on Workshops, ePoster-Sessions and an excursion to the historical Supersonic Wind Tunnel on Campus. Beside that there was a small exhibition of the industry where several companies (sponsors) display and explained their products.

The team of the JenLab GmbH was with an appliance of the MPTflex represented and offered skin tests and the determination of the skin-aging-index

JenLab on FOCUS ON MICROSCOPY 2017

FOM2017 took place in Bordeaux, France from April 9-12, 2017. The annual conference focuses on multi-dimensional light microscopy. JenLab presented an exhibition booth with the multimodal multiphoton microscope MPM and the multiphoton tomograph MPTflex for in vivo skin testing. JenLab's technology was also presented in the following talks:

Prof. Dr. Karsten König, Multiphoton Tomography of the Human Cornea
Dr. Andreas Schindele, Skin Age Determined by Femtosecond Laser Multiphoton Tomography
Martin Weinigel, In Vivo CARS Imaging of Human Skin with a High Degree of Flexibility
Dr. Benjamin Sauer, Multimodal Compact Multiphoton Microscope for Nanoprocessing and Nonlinear Imaging at Variable Temperatures

JenLab Young Investigator Award 2017

The JenLab Young Investigator Award was presented during the SPIE conference Photonics West at San Francisco on January 30, 2017 to Tianyu Wang for his paper titled: "In vivo three-photon activity imaging of GCaMP6-labeled neurons in deep cortex and the hippocampus of the mouse brain". The $2000 cash prize was donated by JenLab GmbH (Germany). The second prize ($500) was awarded to Maria Lukina from the Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy for her presentation on: "In vivo metabolic imaging of mouse tumor models in response to chemotherapy". Both winners are also invited to present their research at the 11th workshop and conference on Advanced Multiphoton and Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Techniques FLIM2017 at Berlin, June 30 -July 1, 2017.
